SERVICES

I offer individual psychological therapy for adults, with a focus on grief and trauma. Sessions are tailored to your needs and goals, drawing on evidence-based approaches.

What is EMDR Therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process distressing memories. When experiences are overwhelming, they may not be fully processed and can continue to affect how you feel, think, and respond in the present. EMDR supports the natural processing system of the brain, reducing the emotional intensity of these memories. In therapy, EMDR supports the reduction of emotional intensity linked to past experiences, allowing individuals to move forward with greater clarity, stability, and resilience. It is particularly effective for trauma, but is also widely used in the treatment of anxiety, grief, and complex emotional difficulties.

Grief and Loss

Grief is a deeply personal process that can affect every aspect of life. It is not limited to bereavement—it can also arise from relationship endings, identity changes, or significant life transitions.

Therapy provides a space to:

  • Safely experience and process grief

  • Make sense of complex or unresolved loss

  • Navigate changes in identity and meaning

  • Maintain a continuing bond with what has been lost

Trauma

Trauma can impact emotional regulation, relationships, and a sense of safety in the world. I provide trauma-informed therapy that focuses on stabilisation, processing, and integration.

The aim is not to relive experiences, but to reduce their ongoing impact and support a renewed sense of control and wellbeing.
